How Ductless Systems Work
A single-zone ductless system has an outdoor unit (a heat pump or air conditioner) connected to a mounted indoor wall unit. You will only need to drill a small hole in the wall to install the indoor unit. A multi-zone system uses the same set-up, only with two or more indoor wall units mounted in different rooms to create multiple comfort zones.
